FQE Membership
The mission of the FQE is to promote the game of chess in Quebec through a network of tournaments and clubs, a news magazine (Échec +) and all kinds of social and educational projects.
National Championships: Amateur by class, Rapid, Blitz, Youth, Junior, Senior and Open from Quebec (the COQ)
Rating of slow, rapid and blitz games
The quarterly review Échec +
Promotion of clubs: calendar of activities, club directory, tournament material
Coach, referee and organizer courses
Reduced rates for juniors and cadets.
Board of directors
The Board of Directors is made up of 11 directors, ie five directors elected by universal suffrage of the members and forming the Executive Committee and one representative per major sector (6) elected by the FQE members of the region in question. The General Assembly is made up of delegates from each affiliated league and outgoing administrators, all of whom have equal voting rights.
Become a member of the FQE
Being a member of the FQE allows you to participate in chess tournaments sanctioned by it. The membership also gives you access to the Échec + sebzine, the Quebec review par excellence that deals with our game.
